Nowadays, English play an important role of the modern life. It is like the door that helps you communicate with the world. Therefore, I give you some principles to write an essay in English. It maybe is useful for you to practice.
An essay, as you have known, is divided into 3 main paragraphs: the introduction, the body and the conclusion. We will consider each of them, and try to understand the parts of each of paragraphs.
The function of the introduction is considered as a map for readers. Reader will know the topic or the argument which the essay mentions. In the introduction, there are 3 important components: the background is often a brief general statement about the topic; two or three sentences are orientation to the topic; the thesis statement will give main points for the body.
The body should have at least 2 paragraphs. Each of paragraphs contains 3 elements: the thesis sentence is main points on which we are trying to argue. The support sentences may explain what the thesis one presented or are perhaps examples to support the thesis sentence.
The conclusion is as a mirror of the introduction. It summarizes all points of view and suggest readers to express the right attitude, taking appropriate action in real life.
